Moving Us Closer To Osler
A Miller Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence Initiative

Roshni Beeharry, MBBS, MA, FHEA, University College London

I’m thrilled to join the CLOSLER Editorial Board, alongside colleagues who champion reflective practice.

I was born and still live in London, completing my medical studies at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School and Imperial College London. I practiced as an NHS consultant physician in neurological rehabilitation medicine until moving into medical education in 2012. I then achieved my MA in clinical education and fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, UK, in 2013.

I’m a passionate medical educator and proponent of the health humanities,  as well as a fiction writer, poet, and trained Writing for Well-being & Personal Development facilitator. I love to integrate writing as part of the personal and professional development of healthcare students and staff.

Alongside my academic career, I design and facilitate Writing for Well-being workshops through “Storied Selves” (www.storiedselves.com), for carers, those living with acquired brain injury, and the public. I also review poetry and short prose for the journals “Families, Systems and Health” and “Family Medicine.”
