AirBorne is my go-to when feeling a cold coming on, and as a preventive when traveling. Note, I haven’t received payment from the manufacturer and this doesn’t imply medical evidence supporting its efficacy,

Chamomile and honey. This is what I was raised on! Family in Greece would ship us fresh chamomile every year. When my sisters and I were sick, we would brew this tea and add honey.  If chamomile could be made into an intravenous solution, I would even suggest it for our patients (post FDA approval)!

Jane Marks, RN, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Homemade chicken noodle soup!!!

Tina Zhang, MD, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Hot tea, salt water gargle for a sore throat, and plenty of sleep and rest!

Keji Roman, MD, Juba, South Sudan

For me if I feel I am catching a cold, it is time for a mug of hot ginger tea! Ginger + lemon + honey. Apart from being a good natural remedy, it is also delicious & gives you a fresh breath!
